KHEAA Teacher Scholarship Program

The KHEAA Teacher Scholarship Program provides financial aid to highly qualified Kentucky students pursuing initial teacher certification. All applicants must be Kentucky residents enrolled full-time (unless enrolled for the final term of a teacher certification program and less than full-time enrollment is required to complete the program). Applicants must demonstrate financial need to qualify for a KHEAA Teacher Scholarship.

Juniors, seniors, postbaccalaureate, or graduate students may receive an academic year maximum of $6,000 (exclusive of a summer session); $3,000 for each semester. If funds remain sophomores may receive an annual maximum of $5,000 (exclusive of a summer session); $2,500 each semester.

If a recipient does not complete the program or does not render qualified teaching service, the scholarship becomes a loan and the recipient is required to repay the amount disbursed with 6% interest that accrues from the date of disbursement.

To apply, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and a Teacher Scholarship application. To apply for the 2024-2025 Teacher Scholarship Program, please visit http://www.kheaa.com/ for further details.
